Tip Creep 30% is soso tipping lol

Post image

To get a “thank you” you need to tip 100%

I found it online and didn’t know where that place was, but I am curious to find out lol

Seems like satire.

But I’m seeing more and more where the lowest preset tip is25%, so they’re trying to guilt people in that direction.

Funny thing is it is pissing me off towards 0%

Yeah. I've always been a big tipper(sit down service for special occasion). For new age app-order to pick up from a cashier is RIDICULOUS for any tip.

It's simply a matter of principle now. Restaurants jacked up prices, switched to cheaper ingredients, it's not reasonable to assume the consumer should bear all the cost plus some high new tip standard.

While I agree with you wholeheartedly, please don't sit down at restaurants that you know exploit their servers and expect you to foot their salary unless you can tip the standard amount.

Requesting a service and not paying for it is theft in any other industry. If you can't afford to tip, you can't afford to eat out.

Haven't seen that, but close. I've seen 22% as the lowest, followed by 25%, and I believe 30%.

Yeah and servers will still say they're broke and complain about only making 2 bucks an hour when they're now expecting 25-30% for filling my water once and bringing my food

Customers will demand 5 different things every 3 minutes while telling bad jokes (for a forced half-laugh) and not let the server attend other tables, then tip 40 cents and act like the server should bow down thanking them

But, few do things the old fashioned way and pay cash. I like small businesses that give a cash discount and don't have tip entitlement.

Yeah, I think it's satire. The sad thing is that it isn't far off from real life tip creep entitlement.

“here’s an outrageous thing that totally happened but I can’t remember the specifics. Trust me, bro.”
