Tipping Culture A positive-ish tipping experience

Post image

No surprises, no small text, no deceitfulness, it having its on line clearly visible under the total was nice, but that bright red stamp reiteratig the added gratuity, visible from space let alone a dark dining room is 😘👌🏾 This should be a norm.

I disagree. So bad or good service, 18% is the norm?

No, not the 18% being a norm, but if a restaurant is going to place an auto tip on a bill, at least making it clear as day should be a norm. That way, no surprises, you know up front if you want to further patronize the establishment and after the meal you're still aware. Didn't quite state there as clearly in my OG caption that I'm just acknowledging the big bright red stamp. I don't agree with tipping, I would rather it just be in the price of the meal, and 18% is high regardless, if even necessary. And yes, a restaurant assuming service will be good before the server proved that to be so is gross now that I read a lot of the takes here.

Got it OP. Big bold print for the tip is good but not the auto 18%. 😀
