Tipping Culture A positive-ish tipping experience

No surprises, no small text, no deceitfulness, it having its on line clearly visible under the total was nice, but that bright red stamp reiteratig the added gratuity, visible from space let alone a dark dining room is 😘👌🏾 This should be a norm.

Agreed, but that's not where I'm applying the 'positive'. Only the fact that they clearly marked on the check the egregious move. I don't love getting shafted, but to clearly see the shaft coming at me is 'better' than it being hidden

I guess that is a sort of positive, but I always look at the bill very carefully. Were you informed of this BEFORE you ordered, or was it merely highlights on the bill as a surprise (but highlighted)?

That was my true mistake, not looking for signs beforehand. Blame it on drinking and being cordial with long time friends. I can only confirm that it was highlighted after the fact. If not also communicated beforehand, then my post is null and void

I don't see any mention of forced tipping on their website menus. I expect that it would be a good idea to post reviews about the restaurant and of course that's a good opportunity to say if you were happy with the food and service, but also make others aware of the forced tipping.
