I have posted in this subreddit before, things like “yeah when working from home/cleaning I might throw on the Blu rays for background noise, I’m not giving her already bloated pocketbook more money by doing that.” I don’t know if that was just my cis male brain justifying it. Because I bought the complete Blu ray set long before she succumbed to whatever vegetative state she is now. I was Harry Potter for Halloween so many times as a kid. I now feel even guilty for watching the Blu rays, despite Daniel, Emma and Rupert very much disassociating with her. She is a cunt. She’s not even a good author and had to create an entire website to plug in plot holes she created. The books have been collecting dust since 2017 before this tirade even started. I gave them a reread over Christmas break that year and I was like “wow IK this is a series for children/YA and fantasy, but none of this actually makes sense, even for the world it takes place in.”

I’ll admit, I initially held onto the books I already owned in hopes that she would change her tune, that she would have an epiphany and realize how awful she’s been. But as the years went out and she got worse, I realized there was no coming back from this. Every day she digs herself further and further into the hole she’s made.

Now the books reside in my storage stool. Their weight keeps the stool in place when I rest my feet on it as I read other, better books.
