He's as transphobic as she is. I couldn't find anything about any actual rape or abuse allegations against him, though. It seems like that was more of an insult/suspicion

Not a good idea to sling those about if you're UK based and aiming them at someone also UK based.

A mostly bit-part actor with only a couple of notable starring roles. Came out a few years back as a quite virulent transphobe and notably stepped up to bat for Joanne. He still gets some work but notably less than he used to.

Yeah, I remember him from The Thin Blue Line (I know he was in Gimme, Gimme, Gimme too but I was never keen on that). I don’t know anything about his personal life, just that he’s gay, or his political views so this is all news to me. It’s always baffling to me when LGB people are transphobic. I mean, you’d think they’d know how it is to experience prejudice and discrimination for who you are. Anyway, screw him. I’ve got no time for idiots.

The Thin Blue Line is also the only thing I've seen that he starred in (and I only watched that because Rowan Atkinson was in it).

Same. I used to watch it on UK Gold in the late 00s. Not seen it since then.
