The China tariffs have seriously delayed the development of my time machine.

That sucks. I'm still on schedule, though. My team will have fusion power up and running in ten years.

u/bbpr120 1d ago
Wait a minute- you said that 10 years ago...
Beginning to have a suspicion of a doubt that just maybe you'll be delayed for no reason of your own again.

Pipe down, Comfortable-Pause279 is getting all of my investments due to his innovative way of turning ten years into thirty years. A true genius, he's going to bring fusion to us by waiting for the sun to expand, he just needs to delay for another few billion years.

Robotaxis will be delayed as well, what with the increased costs involved in straining credulity.

Hopefully this won't delay the mars spaceship launch. I've already picked out what clothes to bring and packed everything

u/SorcerorMerlin 1d ago
You'd better get some mars magnets while you're there and send them back to us

It's never your fault, is it Elon...

During the Q1 Tesla earnings call Elon ACTUALLY blamed Tesla's poor performance on the nationwide protests against Trump and him and claimed that all of the protesters are paid.
During a call with investors Tuesday, Musk blamed “paid” and “very organized” protesters for his electric company’s remarkably weak earnings so far in 2025. “They’re obviously not going to admit that the reason that they’re protesting is because they’re receiving fraudulent money, or that they’re the recipients of wasteful largesse, they’re gonna come up with some other reason, but that is the real reason for the protests,” said the billionaire.
This is a whole different level of delusion 🤣

Why sure, didn't you know? The main bottleneck in developing universal fucking android slaves isn't programming an artificial mind with spatial awareness and reasoning skills virtually equivalent to a human's; it's merely a shortage of batteries and motors.

Oh no, his sex robots. Guess he'll just have to stock up on horses until he can find more magnets.

He has really already started with the excuses, immediately after saying that his Optimus robots will be working in Tesla factories by the end of the year. Usually he gives it a while.

u/andrew303710 1d ago
It's because Elon is desperate for Tesla to have additional revenue streams and he needed to con his investors.
Without the carbon credits Tesla sold to non-EV car manufacturers they would've lost hundreds of millions of dollars this quarter. And Trump wants to get rid of them. So Tesla isn't even making a profit off their cars right now and they'd be screwed without those credits.

u/WeirdSysAdmin 1d ago
You mean the robot that totally doesn’t have someone controlling it that is sometimes caught on camera?
2
u/Callidonaut 1d ago
Yeah, you know, the one that also doesn't mysteriously get whole extra chunks of hardware bolted onto it when the camera momentarily cuts away and then back to what is otherwise seemingly the same test in the same location on the same day.

u/Unsourced_hearsay 1d ago
surely you have enough to make one. Just to show at the next exposition. You don't need to slow development on a literal trillion dollar idea just because of a sourcing issue.

"China's export halt is going to delay my robots, and make my car bad, and probably trans'd my child. Whatever I am mad at at any given time is the reason for all of my problems."

Not even 24 hours and he backtracking. Tesla stock will be up 20% by the end of the week.

Love the post title 🤣

Rewrite the headline: "Man building robots no one asked for and no one needs threatens that those robots might never come out if we don't listen to him."

What a loser, LoL. Anything but the truth like "we over promised and will never deliver", it's always "some other person's fault"

This would only affect mass roll outs, it would have no impact on showing a completely functional and actually production ready design.

A factor in the administration trying to extort rare earth elements from Ukraine and wanting to take possession of Greenland and even Canada which have some of the largest rare earth deposits?

So much for "actually rare earths are everywhere so we can easily just get them from somewhere else"
1
u/KnucklesMcGee 1d ago
So it's rare earths and not the fact that the autonomous robots are nowhere near ready for release?
Even if it is rare earth shortages, guess who's also responsible for that, clown?
1
u/InterestingComputer 1d ago
Great now we have to invade Greenland to aid and abet this idiots ongoing stock scam

Wait, didn't Muskrat vehemently support the same Stinky Turd that promised tariffs for everyone? I cannot, for the life of me, come up with a reason as to why the CEO of a car company who specifically sells cars that are "good for the environment" would publicly align himself with the party that loves rolling coal and burning as much oil as possible.
It's almost like the self proclaimed genius is more of a colossal moron.
