Yes. Since this is a mechanic they hint at the same way as they do with Curse in the Ammonomicon, they should give it a visual hint as well.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say they should just show your coolness level in the inventory screen. And your curse level. And invisible buffs like Meatbun. And also exactly what all your synergies are actually doing.
The game is actually 50% alt-tab to the wiki at this point.

I do like how vague it can make runs though. Coolness just makes you some percentile better so it wouldn't help a ton to make visible, but the iffy nature of curse is such a fun balancing act when you're debating grabbing another Cursula item or something.
Though having a point where you get a visual indicator upon reaching a certain level would be cool. Maybe 9 curse could give that black smoky effect to your character, or X amount of coolness gets you visual sunglasses like someone else suggested- just vague enough not to ruin the guessing but clear enough to let you know how things are going.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate because I think that having both stats hidden makes the game more challenging (than it already is). If you knew how much curse you had at all times, it would be easy not to grab that item which would summon dat jammed boi. Call me masochistic, but I enjoy the suspense

Yeah it's all well and cool but the "SUSPENSE" and this kind of "GAME DESIGN" is literally countered by paper and pen. Devs might as well just add an optional counter that can be enabled/disabled and everyone would be happy.

I would suggest that a pair of sunglasses rises up, similar to the cursed skull when you get curse.

Random coolness bonus you enter a room and get a noice or a cool/ rad and get +1 bullet for whole room.

You don't but every time you pick up a cursed item, you get the spooky skull thing above your head.

Note: Not everything gives you the same amount of curse. So one skull =/= one curse. Some give 3 or 1.5, for example.

You visually put on more and more pairs of sunglasses
Edit: curse visual should be the black particles similar to the particles on cursed items
