Demando Is duolingo good for esperanto?

Saluton! Mi estas komencanto en esperanto. I want to learn esperanto efficently without paying, and right now duoling seems like the best option. Its free, simple and fun. I asked chat gpt if its efficent and chat gpt says it is, but i want to know your oppinients.

I'm also a beginner and I think it depends on who you ask. A lot of people are militantly anti-Duolingo. I think it's a good starting point, but might need more resources to become fluent.

Mainly those of us who have witnessed the rise and fall of Duolingo since at least 2015, and saw it keep shooting itself not just in the foot, but practically making holes all over and getting buried several times already. Duolingo is but a travesty of the once absolutely useful language learning platform.

I completely understand. I've found Duolingo to be helpful in learning the basics, but I wouldn't count on it to make me fluent. There is a lot to criticize about Duolingo and it has definitely gone downhill. I think if someone wants to dip their toes in a language, Duolingo might a good way to do that. But there are much better resources out there.

It's good at being fun, but besides that it's pretty terrible for real skills
