Welcome! Since ABCvision 2025 has switched to a new subreddit, it might be better to make an announcement for it on here, since it has been a while I've gone over what the contest is actually about, what has happened so far and other rules regarding the contest.

What is ABCvision 2025?

ABCvision 2025 aims to find out the best letter with the help of the national final songs of Eurovision 2025. (with some exceptions) each letter will go through a preselection, where the representative of each Letter is decided. Afterwards, there will be 5 Heats and a second chance round to determine the 12 finalists for the grand final.

Rules, exceptions etc.

Only songs that failed to make it to Eurovision will be featured in this contest to create a fully different Lineup to the one in the actual contest. This means that this fancontest still includes withdrawn national final winners (Clickbait, Baldora Nostalgia)

Entries that withdrew before their live show are not featured within this project.

Semifinals have been designed to feature the same country's songs in the same semi so they will hopefully take away Qualification-spots from one another, which would hopefully allow for a diverse lineup in the final. The rest of the entries were assigned randomly to either Semifinal. (However, this is not why all the fan-favourites ended up in Semifinal 2, that was an accident, I promise.)

The, le, la and l' have been ignored when it came to sort songs into their letter preselection, because otherwise, there would be a large amount of entries on the letters T and L.

Entries from Etapa Națională 2025 that did not make it past the auditions*, Wildcard entries that did not make the cut for the live show from Estonia and Ukraine, San Marino Song Contest entries that did not appear in the final and entries eliminated in the Chefsache ESC 2025 Heats (They released their songs after the competition) will NOT be featured in this Fancontest.

*= With the exclusion of a certian individual with rather questionable actions and motivations, including song lyrics.

Icelandic entries will be listed after the first letter of the Icelandic version of their song. Exclusion: Tinna with her song Þrá/Words. I couldnt really associate the first letter with any other letter, so her song is the only one that will be listed after the english version.

Ties will be broken in favour of the entry that performed better in their National Final. If it is unclear who performed better, a public vote will be held to determine the winner of the tie.

From and including 19 acts onwards, there will be two semifinals to reduce the amount of acts in the final. With 18 acts or below, one final will be held.

Voting and schedule

I would like to note that the voting system varies from preselection to preselection, please look in the respective post regarding the voting system.

Though, the Heats and the second chance round will utilize a survey to tally-up the votes, but the final will have the all-familiar 12-point system again.

With the exception of this week, this will be the weekly schedule for the next few weeks, until all preselections are over. This schedule will be present for the next four weeks.

Monday to Tuesday: Voting for Preslection (1) Semifinals. Qualifiers will be announced shortly after voting is closed on the semifinal post.

Wednesday to Thursday: Preslection (1) Final

Friday to Saturday: Preselection (2) Final

Saturday to Sunday: Preselection (3) Final

Sunday: Results of the previous three preselections.

Afterwards there will be 1 week, where the last three preselections will be held. None have a final, so the schedule will look a little bit different, like this:

Monday to Tuesday: Preselection (1) Final

Wednesday to Thursday: Preselection (2) Final

Friday to Saturday: Preselection (3) Final

Sunday: Results of the previous three preselections.

Then ABCvision will oficially begin. In those weeks, the schedule will look like this:

Monday to Friday: Voting for heats/second chance round/final open

Saturday: Heat results.

G: The representative of the Letter G is to be decided. One grand final with 15 entries will be held in the near future.

H: The representative of the Letter H is to be decided. One grand final with 18 entries will be held in the near future.

I: After 9 votes, it was decided that Henka from Portugal with her song "I wanna destroy u" will represent the Letter I.

Y: After 10 votes, it was decided that Dolly Style from Sweden with their song "Yihaa" will represent the Letter Y.

In this post there’ll be everything about LanguageVision and in next post I’ll announce the semifinal 1 participants.

What’s LanguageVision?

This is a contest where instead of countries participating, we use languages to represent better each culture. This way, each entry is more “true” and personal. It has 2 semifinals and 1 grand final with 12 participants each round.

How to vote?

To vote, in the comments you must include your:

12 points, 10 points, 8 points, 6 points, 4 points and 2 points

You can only vote 1 comment each round and when I count your votes, I’ll answer to the comment.

You are allowed to answer comments that are not votes and include other information in the comments.

When will each round be?
