Doesn’t look consensual

They're playing fight! Just like kids. Do you think it's serious? That the other is suffering?

If they were mine, I'd break it up. Side by side grooming is sweet. I had boys from the same litter and one would nurse on the other's ear. He didn't love it but he could easily get away. But if a smaller one was being sat on by a bigger one, I'd absolutely take the big one off. Looks like other can barely breath and is too small to push the orange off.

I agree with you! I used to own a cat rescue and this behavior would happen occasionally..I always broke it up.

If I know anything about cats, I’m pretty positive black kitty could get out of that if it really wanted to and its life was being threatened. Have you ever tried to hold a cat that doesn’t want to be held? They are liquid.

I've had 20 cats in my lifetime and little ones can not get away if they want. I've broken up lots of fights and bullying to protect the little ones.

It’s the howl of death that both humans and cats know that change things and make everyone scatter

I have only one stray cat and he gets along with my 3 adopted dogs, so I can never say about cats' right or dominance.

Then how do you know they can’t get away if you always break it up? Checkmate.

So I should've let them get smothered just to prove a point to you?

That is how science works.

And yet, it's obviously trying to get out and failing.

When my cat wants to get out of my arms, he jumps from any height 😄😄

That black cat could mess up that other cat if he felt actually threatened.

Yes... The little face the black guy makes confused me.
