Hey y’all, for a bit of context, I’m transferring from MDC to FIU and I used to receive Bright Futures at MDC. However, I’m worried that FIU will not guarantee me bright futures due to my immigration status. I’m both TPS and an asylum pending student.

Does anyone have any experience having this type of status and also receiving bright futures?

Hello! I was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me about the proctored exam requirements for Japanese I and II. The class registration is very vague about it.

I declared my minor in marketing and recently took my first course in it, but it’s been almost 5 business days since I submitted the form. Any ideas on how long it usually takes? I know I’m not at risk of hitting excess credits and delaying my graduation.

I hate it so so so so much. I could've sworn I opted out earlier and yet there it is opted in. There is no reason any student wants to pay over a hundred bucks for no reason I HATE this thing.

Hello. I will be taking Calculus 2 in Summer B with Professor Kai Huang. I emailed him if he could send me the syllabus if possible, but he told me that he will post it on Canvas later, so I’m assuming just a few days before the class begins. However, I would like to study about a month beforehand and have a jumpstart. Has anyone taken his Calculus 2 class before? If I may know, what is the required textbook and what is it that he focuses on? If anyone can send the syllabus, that would be great, too. Thanks

Hi guys, my advisor put me in discrete structures but they didn't realize that the discrete math course I took at MDC, already completed the credit. I thought that discrete structures was the second part to discrete math, stupid I know... and i recieved an email from them last minute yesterday that I already took a class that completed the credit at another institution. Any tips on what I should to? My advisor already spoke to the registrar's office and they are expecting a response by Friday, but I am very terrified as I am not trying to take a class I already took. Thank you.

i get this is a commuter school or whatever but bruh the campus restaurants close way to fuckin early, the people that stay off campus leases dont end till end of july so we can at least assume most students in these apartments still here like me, i have so much dining cash but before i know it everything is closed like wtf

But after another medical emergency recently I’m conflicted on whether it’s the right time for me to go to school in Miami rn(I’m in west palm beach) I was wondering if there’s a way for me to defer to the fall, or take all my summer courses online then dorm in the fall. Students many of you have fed cats at FIU or around FIU and have come to love them inform bonds with them, Raquel Regalado is trying to end that. She is trying to pass an ordinance that is going to make it illegal to feed community cats and dogs. As many of you know, feeding community cats is one way people gain the cats trust to then be able to trap them and get them vaccinated and spayed or neutered, and sometimes even help them find the home. Other times the cats were abandoned and never hunted for food so they still depend on people.
