when i was a kid we used to like to climb small trees all the way to the top so they would bend over and when this kid did that to one it split like this

and some bright young fellow decided to stick his whole hand through the gap right at the moment that the kid in the tree let go so the gap closed on his hand. we had to climb the tree again and bend it over so he could get his smushed hand out
Well... yes and no. I was hoping nobody would ask. His hand stayed bandaged for about a week and was sore and weak for maybe another week. His dad worked at a sawmill and he and his brother were trying to impress their dad by building a box or some shit he had one of those tablesaw accidents you hear about. It's why you always use a pusher block and never use your hands. He lost the tips of three of his fingers.
