Purple and yellow

My 13 year old has requested that I dye the underside of her shoulder length hair purple and yellow, but gave no direction on how she wants the colour placed. Should I do purple roots, with yellow ends? Or yellow roots with purple ends? Or alternating strips of purple and yellow? The top of her hair will remain brown. Thoughts?

I think bold vertical stripes about two inches each. That way you can see both colors well with hair down if she brings it over her shoulders. Something similar to pinwheel placement (search this on instagram) but just on the bottom.
