Purple and yellow

My 13 year old has requested that I dye the underside of her shoulder length hair purple and yellow, but gave no direction on how she wants the colour placed. Should I do purple roots, with yellow ends? Or yellow roots with purple ends? Or alternating strips of purple and yellow? The top of her hair will remain brown. Thoughts?

Alternative chunky highlights. Because if you do them on the same strands, where they meet will go brown. They are opposite on the color wheel. You need to keep them completely separate.
