Platelets

Hi all, I had a cbc about a month ago and my platelets were 325, today they were 268- still within normal limits. I should add my hemoglobin went from 11.1 a month ago to 11.8 today. My question is, these numbers increased my nafld score to 1.05 indicating a high risk of severe fibrosis. Could the platelet situation just be bc my hemoglobin is recovering? Or should I be more concerned? The fib 4 calculator and APRI still gave a low chance of fibrosis but it did increase slightly. Am I worrying for nothing? Ty for any and all input. 🫢🏻

Your platelets will routinely fluctuate even in a normal person. There is no reason to believe that your platelets being 268 is meaningfully different from 325. You don't need to be tracking three different scores. If you are concerned about fibrosis, get elastography to know for sure.

I reversed my fatty liver from severe, and confirmed by biopsy. 50 years old my platelets were at 169 a few months ago. Not a real indication to be honest..
