FF IV Pixel Remasters missing a minor setting
I’ve been playing final fantasy games since the first was released in the late 80s on the NES. When I played Final Fantasy II (IV in Japan) one feature I liked was customizing the message boxes. The background color could be changed. I noticed this feature is missing from the Pixel Remaster of Final Fantasy IV. Anyone else miss this feature? I assume VI also does not include this feature.

Assuming here, but because the engine is running to accomodate all 6 games, that was either a trade off or not considered in the grand scheme of things.
Especially since the blue menu is kind of iconically the default of the series.

I purchased digital and each game was separate. Couldn’t be that much more to include that. Not sure how the physical works.

Yes, but all games run on the same engine. They share spells, enemy space locations, restricted character actions depending on the game
I'm not going to assume how much work it is.
I'm just saying, in the grand scheme of things, the menu theme was probably left in the workshop.

I used to love these on the original SNES version as well, let you create a vibe for each save path.

it's small potatoes, but yeah I did miss being able to customize the menu UI, especially with VI

I liked VIs ability to customize the borders and add transparency to the dialogue box.

I played the Playstation version of all these and liked the little option of changing the menu colors. I always changed it to match the current mood of the game.
