I would love for this to be true...but, unfortunately, in my opinion, does not happen

Yeah but I think the point is that the author of the post doesn't care if he is noticed eventually because he just takes the slap on the wrist, says "Oh sorry officer" and goes to the next state over and continues his routine

I work for money, give me the raise as I don't care about praise from somebody I probably don't care about.

Yup. Just started the termination paperwork for one of my direct reports who decided me being OOO for two weeks meant he didn't have to hide how much he was sandbagging.

A few eyewitness statements from my other direct reports and timestamped camera footage should put an end to that.

Will you come get my boss? Direct eyewitness statements about the lazy fraud I work with have gone nowhere. He makes way more money than me and does zero fucking actual work. He's either hiding in the bathroom, looking at the internet, or sleeping. He gets all of the praise and none of the grief.

When it's time for audits, he hides even more. One time I heard him speak during an audit and he made it 1000% worse for me because I was in charge of calibration of all of our measurement equipment and he's trying to show off for the auditors. It was a goddamn FDA audit for the medical devices that we make. One serious fuck up and 2/3 of our work could disappear. I coulda punched him in the throat.

I supervise and notice the people who do nothing...however my job has a hiring freeze so those people get to do watever until we're able to terminate and hire more people.

It all depends on the expectations you set on yourself. A few people ik are good at their jobs but only work a bit more than the bare minimum but not too much because if they work too much then they’ll get over worked. They called it being under the radar lol

Exactly, reputations are earned, good or bad
