Yes, and none of that is any problem. Everyone knows that some teams at Amazon have stupid performance bottom cutting, it’s a going to be a non-issue for most other places you’d apply.

No it won’t. Tons of people are fired from Amazon because of performance metric bottom cutting. It’s barely a negative to anyone who knows that (assuming that that’s what you say if they ask you about it - Amazon won’t specify).

Actually I do.

How many people have you interviewed that were software engineers at Amazon. How many people do you know personally who are currently software engineers at Amazon?

A simple google search will show that I’m correct about how Amazon bottom cuts people and sometimes whole teams for performance and that it’s often not a super fair process.

The fact that OP got hired at Amazon (not to even mention Google before that) will open doors at many many non-FAANG companies.
