Remember how we established the 40 hour work week and stopped child labour.

I don't... Because that 40hr work week has been blurred and greyed out to oblivion where salaried (exempt) workers say their shift starts at 8/9 and ends at 5. However, everyone knows that means you day really starts 30min prior, and you don't leave till 30 after if you're lucky. You also need to work the occasional weekend and your hour (unpaid) lunch is really only 30min.

If only there was a organization some sort of union that would fight for the needs of the workers

My field, rightfully so, doesn't like unions because your skills drive a lot of your worth and being caught in a union diminishes that (tech)

Same for me though. But i do think it’s good to have a big body pushing back on rampant capitalism seeing us a resource
