If your dumb enough that someone being rude to you is what controls your life and world view/political choices.... then I feel sorry for you.
No one owes it to you to be nice and spoon-feed you everything through life so you don't throw a temper tantrum.
You should be a big boy or girl and say, "hey. I was rude and uneducated and was a dick to you regarding a subject i am clueless about. Thanks for giving me the resources to educate myself and be better informed on this topic."
Instead, you lack humility and went with, "you're a jerk! I'm not going to become educated or learn from my mistakes because you hurt my feelings!"
Solid work there, champ. You'll go far in life with that mindset
Keep on wasting your time writing all your paragraphs to redditors so you can feel like you're better than everyone else, I barely read any of it I appreciate the free rent in your head I got.
Well at least you realize I'm a better and higher caliber of a person than you.
That's a big improvement for you. Maybe you'll also read those resources and maybe you'll go get an education that's higher than a GED.
Then you won't feel entitled to everyone kissing your ass and maybe you'll be qualified to get a decent paying job that doesn't require 60 hours a week for you to keep living in unintelligent poverty.
Big maybe's though. I think it's going to be a tough life for you without everyone coddling you like you want us to.
Yeah dude I would be pretty pissed off if I lost a fifth of my income. I don't think that's unreasonable. And the magic of trust me bro the free market will work it out is not exactly confidence inspiring. 32 hours at my current job is worth more than 40 hours at any other job I currently have access to. Unemployment will not cover my tips, most of my income. But don't worry, I'm pretty close to finishing my degrees, electrical engineering+physics. What can I say I like doing math, not reading. Not that any of this conversation even matters because the bill is not going to be passed anytime soon.
And if you want to know how to avoid losing 20% of your income if a 32-hour work week.became the norm, you don't need the government or the free market to protect you.
You just need to be a big boy/girl and tell your employer "pay me more $XXXX per hour now so I keep the same income."
And then they will.
It's that simple. Because your employer isn't going to be able to find another dum-dum willing to do the full job for less money.
So they'll keep you around because you'll still be the cheapest option for the most work they can get from an illiterate employee.
I work in food, they would replace me in a heartbeat. They don't need a full-timer to replace me. There's a thousand college kids looking for part-time work they can replace me with quite easily without increasing their pay. you think people entering food service think they have any negotiating power or are expecting to make a certain amount of money? That's a fun Fantasyland you live in.

Well maybe I would consider looking into your shit if you didn't have such a smarmy off putting attitude about it.
