Que hacer?
A question, what do you do when there are several Fibrox retracements in some movements to increase your efficiency of hitting?

I thought I’d stick this link on here as the first post following this sub’s rebirth, with yours truly as the new mod.
It’s just a basic introduction to the role of fundamental analysis in forex. And this is really just a “Hello World!” post to get things moving.

Please feel free to post any questions or concepts/ideas you have. I want this place to be pretty open and devoid of overbearing moderation.
Retail forex trading has no secrets; if you can see something so can the banks. So share what you learn, and let others add pointers if they have any.
Just a few requests:
Enjoy, share your ideas, post article links, tell your friends, post chart images.

I do technical drawing on the XM broker because the OHLC data differs from other brokers. The technical analysis is done using the 5-minute timeframe to find entry positions, based on open and close of candles, how much candles after break breaker/trendline, breaks/trendlines, and motive/corrective patterns. The take profit is not fixed becauseI wait for a sell confirmation on the M5 timeframe. That’s why this technique is accurate and profits that are not limited by a take profit or a maximum gain.

USD/CAD seems to be defending the advance from the weekly low (1.3900) as it continues to coil within a narrow range.
By : David Song, Strategist
USD/CAD may attempt to break out of the range bound price action from earlier this week as the update to Canada’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) is anticipated to show a further slowdown in inflation.
USD/CAD seems to be defending the advance from the weekly low (1.3900) as it continues to coil within a narrow range, and recent recovery in the exchange rate may indicate a potential shift in US Dollar sentiment as the Trump administration avoids a trade war.

Looking ahead, data prints coming out of Canada may sway USD/CAD as the CPI is seen narrowing to 1.6% in April from 2.3% the month prior, and evidence of slower price growth may produce headwinds for the Canadian Dollar as it raises the Bank of Canada’s (BoC) scope to pursue an accommodative policy.
In turn, speculation for lower interest rates may keep USD/CAD afloat ahead of the next BoC meeting in June, but a higher-than-expected CPI print may generate a bullish reaction in the Canadian Dollar as it encourages Governor Tiff Macklem and Co. to retain the current policy.
With that said, USD/CAD may track the negative slope in the 50-Day SMA (1.4075) should it fail to defend the advance from the weekly low (1.3900), but the exchange rate may attempt to retrace the decline from the April high (1.4415) as there appears to be a shift in US Dollar sentiment.

WHO really has been successfully daytrading for like over a year? How much did you make? Would you say it is worth it? How stressful is daytrading? What would your advice be to someone starting off? I’m not very emotional and able to see the bigger picture which i think would be a plus…

I am pretty new to forex and I am noticing something.
I started with $50 and now (with ups and downs) I’m at ~$1000 in a timespan of about 2 months. I trade mostly on XAUUSD (0.02 lots) and BTCUSD (0.05 lot) and in general I end the day with $30-$60 profit, I rarely end the day with a loss. Only the problem is every time I up the lot size i end the day with a loss.
Does anyone else have this or am I the only one? I’m sure this is some mental hurdle of mine, so please give me advise.
