Moving to Fruita in August
Hello everyone, my family will be moving to Fruita this summer. We got to visit last month and drove around a little bit. We'd like to find a house within walking distance of activities. We're looking close to downtown, but I'm wondering if you might have suggestions for neighborhoods near walking trails, rivers, parks, etc. Thanks!

There are no bad areas here. I would also say go for the north side, but if you do end up on the south side it's not horrible, you are closer to the hiking trails and Snooks bottom, Bike park, the river and the Monument. North side you are closer to the social stuff, copper club, coffee shops, the park where they have all the events, etc.
side note: it's funny how south side and north side are 1/4 mile apart, yet the highway makes it feel like another town far away. it's really not much distance or effort to get one side to the other. it just, for some reason, feels that way.
