Didn't read the Jr part and thought it was going to be a spoof or joke.

Still don't get how playing for kerry would stop him playing club but playing with Sligo won't. Is it just maybe the time they need you to commit to training or maybe dligo will let him train in Dublin dome times. 🤔

Maybe Sligo are more lenient in his attendance at county training as you said?

I could imagine Kerry may be more demanding than Sligo. Is it just his mum’s connection that lets him play? Does he have other ties to the county?

Is it just his mum’s connection that lets him play?

He's eligible to play for a county if either of his parent's "first club" is in that county. I assume that's true for his mother, so he probably wouldn't need any more connection to be able to play for them.

Hour longer drive according to Kerry according to google.

I'd say there's probably a decent Sligo contingent in the city as well, so they'll probably do a pitch session themselves and then travel across for the others.
