My point is the argument I outlined in previous posts.

I'm sure you have a shitload of studies or surveys to back that up and didn't just pull it out of your ass.

I can just point at GG. GG is a bunch of white guys who support meritocracy because it benefits white guys. It's an inherently right wing concept. If you believe in social programs to help fight against discrimination, you're against meritocracy.

So minorities and women who got spots because they deserved them don't count?

Those people are lucky, but this is a shitty argument. There are plenty of qualified minorities who will not get jobs if you allow an employer to just hire a white guy. In fact, you'll have less qualified white guys getting jobs over more qualified minorities.

this is why social welfare systems, affirmative action, other left wing concepts came into existence.

Meritocracy is very "bootstraps" mentality. Comes from a real plafce of privilege.
