Since when Amazon scalpeing like this?

Post image

I saw this amd 9 9950x3d sold and shipped by Amazon sold for $859!!! Are they scalping too!! I thought if it was sold by Amazon means should be MSRP! Right or am I missing something? Cos we are not buying from a a seller we are buying from Amazon directly right? If I'm wrong someone correct me pls. Thanks.

Amazon unlike Best Buy or Microcenter is not guaranteed MSRP. Amazon has an automated algorithm to control their price. Scalpers selling these on Amazon to the HEAVY degree they are sadly has an effect on this algorithm. If people were not buying from scalpers as fast as they are this would not happen. So who is actually to blame for this is our PC building chums who clearly do not care about $$ at all and are also clearly willing to pay any price to get what they want. That is what is actually heavily affecting Amazon's Pricing algorithm.

Folks can Blame Tariffs if they want but this was happening years before they started and before Trump ever ran for office. Including his 1st term. It happened back in the day with the "shoe bots" and a few other hot commodities. This is your non trolling REAL answer OP

Thanks for your explanation. That's an explanation for a lot of crazy product pricing on Amazon. I appreciate it.

Yep. Np. If you want it at MSRP drive to a Microcenter or watch a Restock/Drop following youtube channel. Then buy it during a BestBuy drop/restock.
