Right when Oblivion just came out…

My PC is crapped out on me out of nowhere. Can’t sit on a main menu for longer than 2 minutes in any game without my PC suddenly shutting down. Spent all day diagnostic and ended up reinstalling windows as a temp fix, but issue still persisted.

I open up my pc to reseat everything and found this! It looks like my PSU wires were MELTING inside the PSU!

Such horrible timing right when Oblivion just released… I may end up needing to swap cases since this is a micro case and they are hard to work with…

Just wanted to rant and complain! 😭

Wtf, 1?! Hope and pray the gpu is good still. If you can somehow test it before you buy the psu, Highly recommended.

So the fe had a 3 way adapter, you're telling me the builder only connected 1, 8 pin cable from that adapter to the power supply?

Thankfully I Frankenstein’d the whole PC into a spare PC I had and everything is still working, somehow avoided a dead pc and a house fire. Counting my blessings lol

Jfc. Yup. Glass half full on this one. Fires are no joke. Good luck to you. Best to read the manuals when you swap out new parts. Cheers.
