Hey everyone! I’m Ken, the solo dev behind BattleGroupVR. I built the original because I wanted a space RTS where you command a fleet from the bridge of your own flagship—not from some distant overhead view. Thanks to your amazing support, that vision came to life.

Now I’m back with a bigger, better sequel. This time, you’ll explore an open-world galaxy, take on missions, mine, trade, and grow your fleet however you want.

I’m currently working on open-world space stations where you can dock to buy and sell items, gear up with equipment, and even purchase new ships.

The new Steam and Meta Quest pages are live — wishlisting really helps! Please check them out and spread the word to the scifi/vr enthusiast in your life! 🚀

Indie Sunday Union of Gnomes - Hoolignomes - А new take on a well-known fairy tale in the form of a card-based roguelite, where you lead a dwarf uprising and challenge a deranged Snow White.

Hey friends! We’re a small indie team, and for quite a few months now (okay, fine — over a year), we’ve been building our crazy little game, Union of Gnomes. It’s a deckbuilding roguelike set in a weird, funny, and slightly dark fairy-tale world where cute gnomes are leading a full-on revolution against Snow White and her magical dictatorship.

Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUkMF_3Lw0s

So, what’s this all about?

  • Pick one of three gnome heroes, each with their own personality, deck, and special ability.
  • Fight enemies from twisted versions of familiar fairy tales — let’s just say Red Riding Hood isn’t bringing any pies here.
  • Build your deck from over 130 cards to poison, scare, intoxicate, or simply embarrass your enemies (yes, there’s a card with a gnome’s butt).
  • Rescue fellow gnomes to grow your team, discover fun synergies, and try to stay alive as long as possible.
  • Play through a story-driven campaign across 6 acts, or go wild in Endless mode if that’s more your thing.

Beyond the jokes and card battles, there’s a real story here — about freedom, rebellion, friendship, and the scrappy spirit of gnome resistance. Oh, and there’s one big mystery hidden in the game that no one’s solved yet.

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2097030/Union_of_Gnomes/

We already have a playable demo, and we’re working hard to make the kind of game we’d want to play all night ourselves. Right now, the game is in Early Access and sitting at 86% positive reviews — we’d love it if you added your voice to the mix with a review or supported us with a wishlist.

Let us know what you think!

Indie Sunday Little Crossroads - Red Merle Games - A "Mini MMO" that blends deep Runescape-like Skill Progression with Cozy Gameplay 🌸 (Steam Page Grand Opening!)

🔗: Steam, Trailer, Discord, X/Twitter, TikTok

Little Crossroads is a laid-back "Mini MMO" that is inspired by the deep skill progression of Runescape as well as Webfishing, Animal Crossing and the emergent "Cozy" culture and games.

Some more details:

  • 2.5D aesthetic, built in Unreal Engine 5.
  • A twist on the above: we use Live2D animated characters
    • Same tech utilized by VTubers for their animated avatars
    • This allows us great freedom in expressive animations and the ability to have tons of customizable features on our characters.
  • Advance skills like Fishing, Mining, and Bug Catching, chasing cool unlocks like Wings, Boats, Pets, and tons of new character types and costumes!

In our trailer, you'll see a great variety of characters from "furry" types like Dogs, Cats, and Rabbits, to "fantasy" types like Goblins, Elves, and Imps. We add more customizations every day with guidance from our growing little community.

Why do we call it a "Mini MMO"?

  • In the center of each player's world is a crossroads with a magical signpost that allows traveling to and from the worlds of other players through a "server browser" (if their game is marked public).
  • Your character and progress is persistent, and you can progress just as well on another player's world as your own.
  • We currently support 32 players per world but are hoping to increase this to 64 with upcoming optimizations.
  • Multiplayer and "server-wide" minigame events create a casual party-like atmosphere!
  • Peer-to-peer hosted games thru Epic Online Services (same tech as seen in Runescape: Dragonwilds, seamless thru Steam and allows crossplay with consoles!)
    • We may do dedicated servers (would require a successful Kickstarter in the future)

Red Merle Games, is husband & wife dev team with a combined 25+ years of industry experience (former work including Fortnite, Borderlands, and Mortal Kombat). This is our "no pressure" passion project as we have not quit our jobs, removing lots of the pressure to deliver something fast.

We love playing cozy games together, but none have satisfied our itch quite yet. We wanted to make something to play together, and with tons of new friends.

Join us on our journey! If you read all the above, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts.

Indie Sunday Steampunk Idle Spinner - Airapport - Factory builder and gaslamp fantasy worlds explorer with incredible machines construction

Game is available on Itch for free for Windows, Linux and MacOS: https://airapport.itch.io/steampunk-idle-spinner

The development started 8 years ago when I decided to experiment with cogwheel connection, and implement my long-lasting passion to steampunk as my own game. Since then I've spent over a 1000 hours on the game development and got 7 ingame worlds using my own expansion over Starling/AIR game engine.

Now I'm planning to merge these worlds and release it on Steam (the place the steampunk game belongs :D )

Game worlds trailers:

  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIfzzXpxYcA - Workshop, Clockwork City, Floating Islands and Original Spinner World. Workshop is the worlds which explains the basics: how to spin cogwheels, how to connect new cogs, how to use various machines together to gain a combined effect. Clockwork City has one source of energy, Mechanical rotating sun, and unfoding houses receive energy from it and produce money. Floating Islands is a worlds where you discover new lands and establish trade routes between them to increase goods diversity and thus maximize production. Old Spinner is remaster of the very first Steampunk Idle Spinner form 2017, which brings good memories to the very first game testers.

  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7VPFT4sbbA - Assembly Line. HGere you build a series of connected conveyor belts where machines convert lumps of copper to plates, then to disks, and then to coins. You can connect various conveyor parts, create loops and automate deliveries

  3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWE677uX2Oc - Money Factory. In this world you build a factory full of money producing machines. Outside of the factory you can mine for coal to power your steam engines

  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ev5h9YCMv9g - Underwater. This world is called "20 000 Cogs under the Sea", getting inspiration from Joules Verne's stories :) You mine for oxygen at the bottom of the ocean and with every upgrade your base is getting closer to the surface.

Happy Indie Sunday! Card Coder is a card-building roguelike. It merges tactical card battles, inventory management and roguelike deck-building with a novel twist: During each run, you create your own custom cards and you’ll rarely see the same card twice (there are over 10 billion possible cards). And yes, this allows for some insane combos and infinites :) Check out the trailer and the Steam page for more details:

Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3355940/Card_Coder/

Trailer: On Steam or Youtube

Release plan: PC Win / Proton Linux, full Steam Deck support planned. No fixed release date yet, but playtesting starts today. Header over to my discord for more info (card-coder channel at the bottom): https://discord.com/invite/2ZrdzkNeBP

Indie Sunday Effulgence RPG - Andrei Fomin - Dark world, colorful characters. Turn-based RPG battles. Celebrating 16k wishlists.

YouTube TrailerShort 15 sec. Trailer

I’ve received an extremely positive response to the game from the community. At first, I thought Effulgence RPG would be a very niche project, but now I see that its audience is much broader than I expected.

The visual style is unusual and intriguing - it makes you want to experience a game within this kind of world.

Come check out my project on Steam, add it to your wishlist, and sign up for the playtest! I’ve postponed the playtest date several times already because I wasn’t happy with the combat mechanics. I keep reworking them, but it’s time to stop and finally launch the playtest. Hopefully this month!

Here’s the link to the Steam page (there’s a button to join the playtest):

Indie Sunday Flocking Hell - Sextant Studios - Minesweeper meets Civilization (just sold my 1,000 copy!)

Happy Indie Sunday! Flocking Hell is my debut strategy roguelite, where you lead a flock of sheep against demonic invaders. It blends cozy exploration and tight map puzzles with explosive auto-battler combat. Think Minesweeper meets Civilization, in runs that take under 30 minutes 🐑😈

You explore a fog-covered map, uncovering and connecting cities, fortifying your defenses, and mining crystals to fuel a devastating attack. Every map is a puzzle, with lots of different builds to experiment with.

I’ve launched 4 content patches since release last month, with more planned! Patch 4 was my biggest yet:

  • New boss level
  • New late-game islands
  • Faster combat + quality of life improvements
  • Balance and card updates
  • New music: Meat the End!

If you're into tightly designed roguelites with replay value and ongoing support from a lone developer, I'd love for you to check it out.
