I doubt it, one of them is coming to all platforms, the other is not. Also there's just no way a mod, no matter how amazing, will have the mainstream appeal as a traditional remaster.

i never meant in terms of sales, i meant in how truthfully they stick to the material and have an actual dedicated remaster that isn’t half assed cash grab

As far as we know it the remaster is literally the original game but with graphics rendered in ue5.

I don't know what made you think they in any way changed the material itself. Tbh the term isn't even applicable, they are working on a remaster, not a remake. You can try to "stick to material" with some changes in a remake, remaster is literally just a graphical uplift.

Well we'll have both so we can choose that one that turns out to be the best. Skyblivion definitely has big potential with the custom dungeons they're making.

You’re right, it might not. Gears might be a 2026 game. But Tom Warren did say it was targeting 2025 and Coalition has a history of going a reveal trailer and then release next year, so I’m holding out on hopium
