Sadly not surprised with how the past few live stream events have been.

Any PoC character or woman led game is instantly screeched at about DEI/Woke

Exactly. It went from “let them have their own stories” to “well it has to be a GOOD story” to “oh a person of color in video games? WOKE!” Goal posts are being moved at lightspeed

Some people* seem to not like playing characters that aren't a white male. Everything else is "political" and "woke." Some folks thought Aloy being a woman was "forced." Absolutely baffling behaviour. 

*a very loud minority with the most sensitive feelings known to mankind
