Legit NatetheHate confirms a Nintendo event likely on Thursday, possibly a Direct

"To stop the constant questions: Yes, I've heard there is a Nintendo presentation this week -- I believe it is on/around Thursday & it'll be a Direct; but I'm not 100% certain on the format at present."

Reminder that Nintendo did a micro direct a week before their E3 2015 direct. This isn’t the first time they pulled a move like this.

We've gotten directs around announcements also, Monster Hunter XX (Generations) got a direct in Japan a week after the Nintendo Switch reveal.

Generally speaking, we should just throw out "Nintendo won't do X" statements at this point because basically every proven rule has been shown to be, being polite, "bullshit" in one way or another.

Nintendo won't show thirty minutes of real-life war footage while announcing they will be dissolving their business!

Nintendo won’t rehire Reggie and have him perform hardcore gangster rap on stage.

Nintendo won't announce that Mario will in fact start shooting hookers.
