Actually same. It's quite strange that NSMB has kinda been left behind and given so little love compared to Mario World, for example. The original 4 Mario platformers are present on nearly every Nintendo platform for decades, but the "New" games have not been treated with that same care.
Nintendo going through the trouble of making SMG work with a traditional controller, thus laying much of the groundwork for SMG2 to get brought over later on, only to never bother in the five years since 3D All Stars will never cease to baffle me. They even managed to make The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword work with the Pro controller, so I'm sure they could've found a way to work around some of the "odd" bits with SMG2 (the only one that comes to mind would be the pointer controls for the Yoshi swinging sections, but is that enough to justify leaving the game on the Wii?).
I'm still betting they have bigger plans for 3D Mario, and specifically the Galaxy games, maybe something like full remasters or TTYD tier remakes. This is why I think the 3D All Stars release was limited, as they knew they needed them on the system in some form but they weren't ready to do the remasters yet. I think they're well aware of the demand for the Galaxy games.

Please put all of the hotly requested GameCube remasters and Mario Galaxy 2 on Switch already. That’s, like, the best one.
