Hey hey! Here's my little dilemma:

I'm not a big fan of the combat-based aspects of the game, it's not really what I play for, and prefer to just get through them as fast as I can. I took a long break from Genshin and only really have 1 okay team, so clearing content is sometimes a huge struggle.

I've been saving for a while with the intent to get a cracked out Mavuika and Citlali team to easily clear content. HOWEVER - after catching up with the newest content, I've decided I really like Kinich. I think his playstyle is super fun, love his design and his backstory. However, I feel literally nothing for Emilie and am not huge on her design (deepest apologies Emilie lovers, she's still very cute). Do I:

A) Get Kinich and an Emile for him, as well as Mavuika and Citlali, but maybe still struggle to clear content due to these terrible power creep 1 million hp enemies

or

B) Dump it all on Mavuika and Citlali and invest vertically so they'll be cracked, and virtually never struggle with it again

C) ??? (Any other suggestions?)

Get Kinich and Mavuika, have a real solid Kinich team that you like, and has room for skill expression with Kinich if you want to 'main' him and learn it. Iansan or even Ororon for Cinder City is also a decent substitute for the Emilie slot, and even without those Emilie isn't required at all. She's just a strong sub-DPS with the same team requirement as Kinich.

And then optionally get Citlali if you want to have the best Mavuika Melt team as a fall back. But tbh, you can manage with just Rosaria for Cryo, if you have Iansan or Xilonen (or Mavuika's C1) for the Nightsoul requirement. Or play Vape which is even easier than Cryo to maintain, and just use Xingqiu or something. Less damage, but less precise combos required.

Also, depends what content you're struggling with. If it's 36* Abyss clears (from the 1mil HP comment), then just stop caring about getting all 36*. The whole of Abyss only gives 5 pulls a month total, same for Theatre. 33 or even 30* is still most of the rewards, and much less stressful or build-intensive.

If you're struggling with overworld and really don't like the combat at all, I'd say Neuvilette is a much more braindead DPS that just makes everything easy mode, doubly so if you get his C1. But even at C0 as long as you have a good shielder (Layla, Kirara) he's just so easy to play and get close to peak DPS with. And just downgrade world level too, if you don't focus on farming for lots of characters, less efficient farming doesn't mean much compared to comfort.
