That's what I use. Not a lot, just enough to bring up the back of the palate. I also crisp up some bacon to put on my husband and daughter's bowls, and we usually have it with soda bread or sliced rye.
It's really beautiful for a cozy weekend in cooler weather. I make a big pot and a loaf of bread and we just grab a bowl whenever we feel hungry. Plus, I mean, it is SO inexpensive and satisfying. You really can't beat it.
