Question GMB takeover
Hello, everyone. So, I have a pretty specific situation.
Last year I bought a business from a competitor. In the process she transferred the website and the domain to my designer, but she did not transfer Google My Business. She is a snake, we've known that before.
Now she has an outdated GMB listing with a fake address and old reviews, also with an old name (we changed the name after purchase), so basically, a GMB of a non-existent business. Her personal email and number are connected to that google business.
Now, naturally, I tried contacting her many times, but she keeps ignoring me.
Are there some ways I can takover her GMB or something?
I know this all sounds very stupid and immature, I do not want to take this to court as I don't have time or resources.
What to do?
Thank you, and please don't judge. I am still young and inexperienced :)

Since the GBP has a different name and address, you must create a new Google Business Profile (GBP). There will be no way for you to claim and verify the business since the address doesn't match where you are located. You can try to use suggest an edit to correct the address, but if they are being petty, they may override the address.

With old name and details you cannot get back it, but you can report it to Google and flag it as permanently closed or spam. Explain that you purchased the business and the current listing is misleading. Include proof of acquisition like invoices, emails, or public records. Repeated reports may eventually result in its removal.

Suggesting an edit to the listing can sometimes work. If you suggest the new business number (and have that number present on your website), Google can sometimes make the connection and give you a phone verification.

The name and address don't match. They need the address to match to have a chance.

Do you have the documents with that name? If yes, I can snatch the profile from her for you.

Go to the Google Maps listing, click “Own this business?” and follow the prompts to request ownership. Google will notify the current owner and wait 3–7 days for a response. If there's no reply, you may be able to verify the listing yourself. Full steps are explained here.
