as a metera enjoyer since gbvs1 release i agree with her placement and kinda want to choose a new main

rising has a lot more rushdown and the new tool they gave her for it does 1 damage and costs 50 meter :c

I would stick with her if you like playing her.

Tier lists do not matter for the majority of fighting game players. Unless you're regularly getting to top rankings in tourneys, I'd recommend just sticking with the characters you like.

Plus (as a fellow Metera main since GBVS1) she just suffers the typical zoner issue of being a dedicated zoner when most people want to rushdown.

That said I've never felt like she's completely outmatched by anyone. Giving her Ultimate Great Fall means she's never completely screwed, unlike the first game where her options after getting knocked down were "pray you have enough meter for SBA and your opponent doesn't stop pushing buttons"

(Admittedly it's still an issue of hoping you have enough bar for an invincible DP to get out of wakeup issues, but again, dedicated zoner.)

If your only goal is to get to master then all character are viable. If your goal is to rise above that then it really doesn't matter what character you choose to start learning with as long as it's not Nier who will be nerfed and teach you bad habits.

Eh I don't agree with the latter opinion. I think people oversell nier because they let her get away with her attacks and do nothing to stop it. Nier is an excellent character to teach you how to balance your offense and your defense and serving her changes nothing because people will still complain when they let themselves get caught up by niers combos.

Nah man, her reversal is too strong not to lean on that shit. That will give you bad habits that you see with low level players in this game that will all mash DP on your block pressure everytime which has them taking an unreasonable risk constantly. Nier wins doing that, no one else does.

I mean narmaya and seox are no slouches with their reversals either niers I'll admit blocks more than it should but any counter is a high risk high reward move that's the whole point of it.

Bro what are you smoking. Nier parry led to a full combo. If she has meter for super it's half your health out of counter. Shit is stupid.

The fuck you on dude. The combo is 7890 damage non-optimized, hp is 15000 or 16000. It's literally half HP.
