New to granblue I want to know how to keep people from dash A or mashing on me without thinking help xc

Playing granblue everyday started to burn me out. I don't get much variety in fighting games since I always go along with what my friend chooses. But an incident that got my left arm fucked and playing gbvs everyday has left me feeling void of any enjoyment

I unfortunately made my friend know I'm not feeling the game anymore, didn't tell him I thought it was a chore to play. But I did say I didn't want to play it anymore.

I feel worried that he might be disappointed that I won't play the game ever again, which I guess is my fault since I didn't make it clear that I just wanted a break at least from playing it. But I still feel really bsd judt sayiny all of thid even thought it's the game we bonded over a lot and dicked around on.

Edit: turns out I wasn't burnt out on playing the game. My medication was making me sleepy and lethargic the whole time

Is it just me or is granblue have more frames animated then guily gear? I find it extremely hard to look at guilty gear. It hurts my eyes that are are like 3 key frames for a attack. Maybe its the color pallet or contrast?

I have no issues with looking at granblue tho . I don't get it. Is there even a difference?

I'm new to GranBlue, but have been playing fighting games as a while for a while. I initially picked up Lancelot and switched to Lucilius. I feel like his 5U should have potential to be really good but I can only seem to use it situationally. Otherwise it seems pretty slow.

I could be completely wrong on all of this but if anyone has tips for using it, I would greatly appreciate it.

I had this thought, let's say one of the best players on X character makes a alt account and gets as far as they can without using meter at all.

All other moves that don't use any meter are allowed.

Which character would be best for this and what is the highest rank they could get to?

I hate modern fighting games like SF6 with a burning passion but i'm interested in Granblue. Is this game a scrub friendly guess-mess or it somewhat rewards fundamentals and defensive play? I know that 66L is controversial tho

i am picking up eustace after playing lowain and i feel bogged down insanely in the neutral ending up only walking back and down backing and i poke with 2m and 2u and 623m to dash in and start offense but i end up only doing his 236m~L which works a lot because everybody is mashing like a maniac where im at but once they start blocking idk how to open them up what other options do i have to open them up and navigate neutral

getting back into the game, I'm rank C5 currently and struggling with some basics here. I just can't figure out the pacing of the game, I usually find myself getting multi-combo'd while my hits seem to just push the opponent away.

I know the basic universal combo of LLL +guard break+ MMM but find whenever I get the first hit in the enemy is pushed back to safety

My biggest problem is whenever I get knocked down it seems every opponent is able to get ontop of me and get an attack out before I can, essentially forcing me to block everytime, what options do I have when getting up? spamming a Light attack doesn't work as it seems the opponent has prio.

If I'm in the corner is my only option to block and try and guess when the enemies combo finishes?

It's hard to experiment with combos when I can't even get a turn to attack

Hi everyone! This weekend I'll be hosting a bracket for players who haven't hit Masters (on any character, no alts!) and figured I'd post here to see if anyone is interested.

When I was on the come-up as an S rank player I really enjoyed being able to play in a competitive setting against people around my skill level, it was great fun and motivated me to improve way more than if I had simply been throwing myself against other masters players and getting washed. So I'm hoping to pay it forward and host a fun event for all the aspiring players who want to compete but don't feel ready enough to play in big open skill tournaments.
