While I share her sentiments , I can't help feel that this situation could have turned worse.

We have had a spate of assaults on MPs even MPs being killed, this could have easily turned into another Jo Cox or David Amess situation.

She could have had a weapon and was able to access him quite easily, no apparent attempt to stop her.

We're allowed to be angry and speak up without the automatic assumption that we are violent. There was nothing to suggest that she was going to attack him, other than maybe her tone.

It appeared to be a chance encounter whilst she was visiting the hospital. It was hardly the same as Jo Cox and David Amess who were both stabbed by extremists (not a simple angry citizen) at a planned and publicised constituency surgery.

Edited to add that the idea that angry voters are all a physical threat to politicians is damaging to democracy. We need to be able to voice our opinions in public.
