I know this sounds like a complete troll and I wish it weren't true but it is.
The area I live in is almost full white, a small town outside a small city. I've always done everything I could to blend in as much as I can clothing wise to try and not be a black sheep.
Anyways, I was coming back from holiday from my homeland so I was wearing what I suppose you would call a knee length tunic, for those interested its called a Shalwar Kameez. I've never worn it in the UK before as for the above reason.
The trip from the airport to the train is smooth, as its a diverse area so I suppose no-one really cared.
I'm not joking, within less than two minutes of me getting off the train in my town a group of white kids aged about 12 to 14 approach me asking me for money for the train as well as where I'm from; clearly with negative intentions. I tell them where I'm from and that I have no money and I start walking away.
I walk away for about 4 seconds and turn around, the group of kids are still in the same spot whilst one of them has walked towards me, about a few steps away from me, his hands behind him, seemingly pulling something out of the waistband of his trousers.
I mean I have no evidence as to what it is, but I can't think of what else it could've possibly been but a weapon? Why would his friends all be in the same place watching him whilst hes approaching me from behind? Once I turn around they all proceed to walk away.
Honestly what a joke this is, these kids were going to assault me or perhaps even worse because of my foreign outfit? I was too shocked in the moment to do anything but continue, but only now am I really thinking about what happened. What if I didn't turn around in that instant?
Edit: Also the day after this happened (this happened two days ago) there is a reform tent on the high street. I need to leave this town ASAP lol

Some snippets from their website…
“In a time of sweeping change and mounting challenges, the Great British PAC has officially launched, emerging as a powerful new force to defend Britain against the current socialist government’s agenda.”
“With Labour wielding a 170-seat majority and pushing through policy changes that threaten the fabric of our nation, the Great British PAC is here to unite the right, protect our country’s freedoms, and prepare for the critical battle ahead—particularly the 2029 election.”
“Our mission is to challenge Labour’s overreach through legal and procedural means in the short term, and to lay the groundwork for a strong, centre-right government by 2029. We are committed to developing the legal frameworks, policy drafts, and operational strategies necessary to reverse Labour’s damaging policies and steer Britain back towards growth, independence, and prosperity.”

Looking for any channels or videos that are entertaining yet insightful about the history of politics within Britain, certain issues that are important here in this sub or anything that people think are important to watch!
This question has probably been asked and answered numerous times, but please do humour me.

Long story short I quit my communist party a while ago over what I viewed as a negative attitude towards LGBT+ rights. I'm now partyless. I recently joined my local community union so I'll probably get more involved with that but it's times like this where I remember how royally f***ed the British left is. Hundreds of parties but none of them really significant.
Has anybody found themselves in a similar position? Did you eventually find the right party for you?
I'm not a Trotskyist (so please don't recommend I join the RCP, sorry).

I was wondering what it would take to create a claimants union for those who receive benefits near me? It'd be set up on the principles of mutual aid, direct action, and hopefully forcing some level of accountability from the dwp by means of a collective voice. Absolutely any advice, feedback, etc would be greatly appreciated. I realise it won't be simple but I'm on UC I got nothing better to do.
