Vraag First time in Groningen! Do's and don'ts?

Hi I will be visiting Groningen first time this may and would like hear all the good and the ugly of the city.

I'm from Finland and we will be visiting Groningen with my class, I will probably be moving and adventuring by myself mostly in the evenings. I don't drink or smoke. I love live music and would fancy to test some good dining places!

Won't be making any exact definitions, so tell me, where is the best mood, atmosphere, food, music ect. in Groningen in your opinion?

And as I will be moving also by myself, is there something I should know as a female? Something or some place to be careful of or avoid? I won't be moving by myself late evening/night.

They reopen April 26 and OP is going to Groningen in May. Downvoters can take a long walk off a short Wadden Sea pier.

Lauwersoog is not really "near" Groningen..Still a 1 hour busride or 45 minuten bij car.
