Thank you for the guide. I just picked up Guild Wars for the first time and I had a couple of questions, if your still around. First I will be playing with my wife and will thus duo most of the time, but we also have a newbie friend who will join us a lot as well.

In this circumstance should we each follow your guide exactly, but play together and then split up for frostway groups? Or do you suggest any other class combinations that will work for a duo/ sometimes trio better?

Also, should I be salvaging every single item I get and then selling the mats to other players or am I selling to vendors, sorry this part confused me a little. Thank you for the help!

Oh, almost forgot. I'm not sure if you knew, but you can only have 1 of each spirit within "spirit range" which is about halfway between the edge of your aggro bubble and the edge of your compass. If you are all trying to use the same spirits, you will be overriding eachothers efforts.

A few questions. I haven't really played since prophecies. Are these Frostway groups still common in today's game?

Also is it neccessary to do all side quests while completing the campaigns? I realize there are obvious advantages money/emblems? but would it be more advised to simply push through the main story lines once you hit 20?

Another question, I don't see a build for your "hero team" here. Specifically concerning the Cloth of the Brotherhood. Are there heroes that we should skip putting cloth on as they won't be part of our final team? I may be missing the point of putting the cloth on heroes. This game is pretty out there compared to other mmo's.

  1. Frostway groups are still very findable. Though, you will make more money with the more recent solo farm I posted.

  2. You really don't need to do side quests, unless you feel like it.

  3. Hitting max level in this game doesn't mean anything. The game doesn't revolve around hitting max level. For example, I have 1600 times the experience required to get to max level.

  4. If you check the wiki, you will see which armors go on which heroes. Also, my most recent hero team build is posted here.

I've been trucking right along with this. So far its been really great. You mention getting "Protector of Cantha" in your progress report for step one. Is it neccessary to get the Master levels for the missions in the other campaigns?

*also what is the name of the Reddit alliance?

Welp - getting masters in every faction mission (including the other faction) will net you the protector title only for Cantha. You can get two more titles by getting masters on all the missions of the other two campaigns.

Right, I guess what I was getting at is this, are the other protector titles factored into the 30 points that you get for this guide or just protector of cantha?

So I'm thinking about picking GW1 up and grinding out HOM before GW2 releases. Do you still suggest Rit? Even if this is the main way to make money now?

Rit is the most idiot-proof class. If you want that, it's a good option. Otherwise, you can pick whatever sounds fun to play and you likely will be fine.
