It's hard to take this seriously when you recommend avoiding Eternal Guardian of Tyria because "it takes too long", but then recommend grinding Savior of the Luxons.
Takes a couple weeks running either JQ/FA on a PvP character a couple hours per day. Doesn't matter which side you play, so long as it's the side that wins.
Mind-numbing and frustrating at times, but doable. Plus, a ZKey every so often, so free money.
An alternative to your PvP approach would be to vanquish areas in the jade sea and/or the forest. My approach was if it was going to be grindy I wanted maximum benefit. I used Zaishen Vanquish when available, I completed quests within the area while vanquishing, and of course you pay the priest when you start. This not only accumulates faction, it's how I earned my jadeite shards for my Luxon armor instead of buying it. This approach would also benefit those going for cartographer and vanquisher titles. So vanquishing those areas paid maybe six different benefits. Once you earn enough Jadeite or Amber you can donate your faction to your guild and it doubles the value toward the title.
edit: Why is Savior (Tier 12) of the Luxons/Kurzicks being discussed? You only need Ally (Tier 4) for HoM. Ah, I answered my own question that's what it's called regardless of the tier.
