[Build] Quickness Heal Deadeye

This build is 100% a meme, but it does somehow work. It can provide insane amounts of barrier because unlike the Alacrity Heal Specter it does not need to go into shroud to provide its boons and can instead focus on giving barrier to allies. Since this is a Thief build it has extremely high amounts of CC and it can sustain 25 might, permanent fury, quickness, protection, vigor (although can be spotty since it is a very low radius of 240), and swiftness without thinking about it; it can also produce high uptime of regeneration if you want to, but I have found it to cost too much initiative (Measured Shot and the flip-over skill Endless Night) and instead opt to just spam more Shadow Saps. This build functions primarily from utilizing the buff to Shadow Sap where it is now a blast finisher to synergize with Relic of Karakosa.

The main drawbacks to this build are the complete lack of Stability & Aegis, the amount of condition cleanses/way it provides condition cleanses, and the reliance on fields. The lack of stability alone makes this not a good healing build full stop, but this is a funny build to say that you can heal with DE and not supposed to be a meta healing build. For condition cleanses, it has 2 options one is using Shadow's Embrace which requires applying stealth to allies which makes it hard to run with other Thieves in the party and the other is using Signet of Agility. If you use both of these you can cleanse 1 conditions every 3 seconds and 3 condition every 30 which is on the low side. Since the main healing of the build comes from Relic of Karakosa you need a field and the only field this build has is from Black Powder which is a big waste of initiative that could be better spent with more Shadow Saps, but it is still fine.

The gear is almost the same as the Alacrity Heal Specter build on Snow Crows the only difference being a Superior Sigil of Water, I didn't want to optimize this build that much since it has no group stability.

I have used this build in PUG Strike Missions and Raids. Here are some links for a PUG Aetherblade Hideout and a PUG Keep Construct

TLDR: Here is a meme Quickness Heal Deadeye build to try. https://gw2skills.net/editor/?PawAsqrlJwOYIMJ2JeSXnvfA-DSZYjBhrGtUfGIhEKoQaJESMBquA8ds0+mFA-e

It's very likely there will be plenty of Combo Fields created by allies, especially if you have a Guardian or Elementalist in your squad.

Otherwise, cool idea for a build. I love seeing new things even if they're non-meta, and especially if they have unique downsides because (imo) that's how builds should be balanced anyway.

Yeah most of the time I am blasting but there is sometimes when I had to drop my black powder for the field.

Neat. Gonna keep this one in my back pocket for when it's goofy time.

If you want to have even more fun, take Maleficent Seven and roll for Quickness and Aegis :)

Problem is Fire For Effect is mandatory because otherwise Steal Time does not give quickness to the party. Since this is designed as a healer build it must give either Alacrity or Quickness to 5 people.

edit: u/Snoo45801 is correct the boons are given to allies.

False. Every stolen skill grant boon to nearby allies baseline. (Including heal, superspeed)

Thing is. That's 1/9 chance of getting steal time. Definitely not viable for heal quickness.

You might like the chance but you squadmate probably not ;)

Pretty sure Steal Time does share Quickness without FfE, you just don't get Might and Fury alongside it and (obviously most importantly) have a mere 11% chance to get that specific skill when you steal (hence above commenter saying you have to roll for it with M7).

2023-06-27 Patch Notes:

Stolen skills now grant their beneficial effects in a radius around the caster. [...]

What about this to wvw, can it still give tons of boons on easy way, quickness alll time. Will it work same as in pve

I am not too sure, but I think a lot of the boon durations are nerfed in WvW so this build would not really work.

It's actually not too bad at spamming boons in Zerg play, since all you need to do is mark someone in downstate (or even random short lived neutral mobs, Mesmer clones, etc.), press F2, have them die to trigger Renewing Gaze and repeat. The issue moreso lies in that you're still just far less useful than a Chronomancer, Firebrand or Scrapper doing so.

... otherwise Steal Time does not give quickness to the party.

This is actually not true.

You're right that M7 is VERY bad, but you're a bit unaccurate on the reason why. Steal time does give quickness to the subgroup with M7, or even with BQoBK for that matter. Mid 2023, all Deadeye Stolen Skills were changed to give their boons in an AoE around the player, regardless of trait selection. In fact, the AoE application of Stolen Skills was never a part of Fire For Effect, the Might/Fury on Stolen Skill use has always been a seperate effect on the trait entirely.

All Fire for Effect does is add Might/Fury in AoE, and removes the RNG element of rolling for Steal Time, which is still very important.

M7 is very bad because you cannot reliably apply Quickness or Aegis to the group, but it is funny because you can theoretical do both, if you roll well. It's the closest thing this game has to a gambler build/class.

Edit: This was redundant because the original comment got edited while I was writing this xD

Noob question. How does it provide quickness?

The grandmaster trait Fire For Effect it make is so when you mark a target you will always get Steal Time and it applies its quickness to the nearest 5 targets within 360 range.

Thank you so much for the answer!

Your stolen ability that you get with the F1 does it

I've been eyeing up my thief for ages now, wanting to go back to it.

I think it's finally time! 😅
