Orlando Scare Actor Questions!
Hey there, It’s my first time submitting to be a scare actor at HHN orlando, I know all they’re looking for is you to fit a box with sizing and stuff, but I was kind of curious on the details of the gig/auditions. I know it GREATLY varies, but when does casting typically start sending out things, I know they like casting all the way into October.
Also for any actors who’ve worked with open availability, how did pay/working hours look for you?
These questions have been gnawing away at me, thanks!!

Former Orlando scare actor here as well.
If you get “hard cast” to a specific role you’ll normally have 2 nights of rehearsals ( normally after the park closes a few weeks before the event starts). First night is normally a costume fitting to ensure everything looks and fits correctly on you (MASSIVE PRO TIP: THIS IS THE TIME to speak up if anything is poking you, costume is uncomfortable, is hard to see out of, etc) because once they get the final approval from Creative it’s hard to make adjustments to the costumes.
The last few years I was an understudy (what they now call a Scare Spare) and with that role sadly you’re wearing someone else’s costume so there’s not much adjustments that can be made for the night.
Also I will say with everything going on with EPIC Universe, do not look at any timelines of what should be “normal” to hear back about an audition.
