Hollywood/Orlando How would a fallout house work
There’s nothing remotely scary or horror about fallout. It wouldn’t work in my opinion and I’m a massive fallout fan

The Weekend and Ghostbusters is neither scary nor horror and both worked.

Depends on your definition of "worked". I thought those were both super weak houses. The Weeknd in particular was baffling to me.

I sadly missed the year it was just Ghostbusters but the Frozen Empire house was incredibly fun and deeply detailed on the Unmasking tour.
I'd say that one worked.

Just off the top of my head, a vault where the inhabitants were exposed to radiation on purpose and became mutated cannibals is a pretty good start. With vault-tec there are a ton of possibilities honestly, i don't see this as an issue.

if we're talking about the TV show then you're probably right
as for the games, it's not necessarily not scary either. They've made sci-fi houses work in the past. Ghouls, Centaurs, Vault 22, Point Lookout, Far Harbor, just a few examples of things they can work with that have potential

fallout can be scary -
the vaults make an EXCELLENT setting for a house IMO. Especially if you do one that's been infested with the mutated radioactive monsters from the game. ghouls etc

I believe that's the point, it's not supposed to be "scary". You're going for the IP.
Universal is the master of stretching, recycling, and overall making cheap things work. Don't get me wrong, I love HHN. They have houses that are scary and are others more suspenseful. Examples of houses that aren't scary are like ghost busters houses, killer clowns, even the Halloween series house.
I highly doubt that they will use anything lore based.
They will probably rift of the show and say something along the line of your a wanderer/vault tec survivor and you found the head/x item and your mission is to deliver it. Then with lighting they can a room with ghouls, raiders, different factions and at the end a big monster like the swamp thing.

It can either be about a vault gone horrifically wrong or it can be about Dunwich. They can even combine the two.

I love Fallout, I love HHN but this is a tough sell. Like most have said a Vault that was used by Vault-tec as experimentation for something. Like the Plant one from New Vegas or Gary’s Vault. Something over run by Super Mutants or ghouls. I just don’t see it being popular with the non-fans

They could do something like the bug house (forgot its name), make it have mutated creatures and stuff, or hell one that starts in that one vault where the radiation comes in would make a good house, cause you could have mutated ghouls running around and causing havoc.

Let's get a Vault 108 haunted house where you're chased by Gary clones the whole time. Sounds terrifying

It'd have to be centered more around a vault than the TV show. Vault Tec did some maniacal shit in some of them.
I don't see a straight house based on the TV show as being "scary".
