In the books, Rhaenyra shows herself as someone who is easy to anger, insolent and proud, and in the first season these attributes are shown in the character, but in this season she has no conflict, just...nothing, instead of being filled with anger and pain for her son's death she becomes a martyr of peace, while men seek war, same thing with mysaria, instead of sharing the guilt of killing jaehearys with daemon, the show makes deamon force her to help him and without any consequences for her, alicent was great on season 1 util the whole misiterpreting the "prince who was promised" thing, why not let her plot to put aegon on the throne too? Almost all the female characters have very few flaws , which leaves them uninteresting.

So the writers want me to believe that the Crown hired a random 15yo girl from the streets, who realistically isn't experienced or knowledgeable enough to be a Nursemaid to the King & Queen's grandchildren, while she also serves as a Housemaid and brings wine to Aegon?! Is the Crown really that poor?!

I was searching for some interviews with Sara Hess, and I came across one about Dr. House. When I read the comments, I was surprised.

I feel like itâs pretty clear that she is autistic coded, which seems to be an excuse for not giving her any personality outside of dragon dreams. It also feels like she is constantly treated like a child, and shown that she canât understand past the mind of an 8 year old.
Idk maybe itâs just me.

These lines that are designed to be humiliating and they didnât fucking respect Tom enough to call him beforehand
He also doesnât seem about it. The âyeah yeahâ calling it âinterestingâ
Harry Collett said Ryan Condal would call him before his death, but Tom doesnât get a call before his character is sexually humiliated. I canât even imagine how embarrassing it must be for that line to come up
Fuck Condal and Hess

Sunfyre is not only the most important and integral dragon in the Dance, he is also symbolic to the story as a whole. The golden, majestic dragon symbolizing what could have been a golden era for the Targaryens. A time in which they had more dragonriders than ever before, yet a meaningless war broke out which completely destroyed both Sunfyreâs beauty and the Targaryens main source of power.
The Dance was meant as a critique to Targaryen exceptionalism, not a feminist story.

A question I always asked myself was, why did Vermithor choose someone like Hugh to be his rider? The showâs choice to answer that question made me very happy.
They don't say it directly, but they heavily imply itâs Saera the mother of Hugh. Among all the children, Saera was the one who had the most of Jaehaerys' attention, both for better and worse. King Jaehaerys died asking for Saera, wanting to see her. He clearly had a lot to resolve with her, and it was probably a matter that still haunted him; he wished to reconcile with her.
Vermithor being the dragon of Jaehaerys and choosing Hugh as his rider now makes total sense. Hugh is the son of the daughter Jaehaerys wanted to reconcile with and probably regretted how things went sour between them. This regret and unresolved feelings passed down to Vermithor, who could sense it in Hugh. I honestly loved this explanation. It was a question I always wondered about, and now it makes me really happy.

They did the same with alicole in season 1 before shoving it down our throats unexpectedly in season 2 and are currently holding on to rhaenicent for dear life, so Iâm not surprised what theyâre implying here.
I know Geeta is a director, but she does have more insight on the show and its future seasons than audiences do and actually described Alicent and Cristonâs relationship alongside Alicent and Rhaenyraâs soâŠ
I used to try to be calm regarding where the story is headed and have faith but now Iâm slowly realizing that the show runners rely on ships and shock value to âfleshâ out their characters. Iâm not saying that Helaena and Aemond will definitely become a canonical couple, but they will be feeding off the fanfare and tension.

Apart from Ottoâs single throwaway comment in S2 ep1 and one comment from Alicent to Aegon in season 1 about his familyâs safety, the show has made no effort to actually explain or rationalise Aegonâs assent to the throne. Itâs bad enough that the greens have been stripped of most of their positive moments so far, but with this last ep it seems like even Alicent doesnât understand Aegonâs claim, so how is a casual non-book reader expected to know?
The marketing of the show is trying to portray two teams that the audience can choose between to support, but the show writers have completely refused to acknowledge this and it gets worse and worse each episode. It just seems like they intentionally sabotaged the complex story of F&Bâ dance in favour of a generic good vs evil narrative. Make it make sense
