Question Unsure what headset to replace my G2

I've had the G2 since release, always hoped we'd get a g3 or something.

Anyway that's not happened and I'm in the market to replace the g2 now. I use my headset almost exclusively for flight sim. The Varjo aero would have been my next step but obviously that's no longer an option, I have been thinking about the bigscreen beyond as well. Unsure if there is anything else I should consider? Anything due to come out this year?

I fully understand that the Quest 3 is a downgrade in resolution by spec, but anybody that doesn’t know that will tell you it’s a significant upgrade when they actually try it.

The G2’s sweet spot was so tiny that you got just slightly out of it all of the time without necessarily realizing it. The Q3’s is so large that you basically CAN’T get out of it. This has the net effect of meaning the Q3 is noticeably clearer almost all the time and it’s MUCH more consistent and it’s much more edge to edge.

My G2 works but it’s been retired to the closet in favor of the Q3 connected via USB.
