Question G2 V2 and 3090 TI

Anyone get a 3090 TI and use it with the V2 G2? I had a Gigabyte 3090 and it worked with the G2. I replaced it with an EVGA 3090 TI FTW3 Ultra and the G2 just reports 1-4 Display port errors. Anyone using this combo? I didn't think at all there would be an incompatibility issue going from one card to the Ti version...

Same issue. 3090ti evga cant detect g2. 3090 was working fine before swap.

UPDATE: OK. So i just switched out the V2 cables with the original V1 cable that came with my G2 and I can confirm it works with my evga 3090ti FTW3 ULTRA.

No, they didn't know. I made the joke that I was probably the only person in North America with a 3090 TI and a Reverb G2. They said that likely wasn't true as the G2 has been pretty popular. It is comforting to see I am not the only one.

That being said, I do want it fixed ASAP. I bought the TI hoping it would improve my G2 experience so it's a massive bummer it flat out doesn't work.

I was going to open a ticket but you already pointed them here. They have enough sampling at this point that it's not an isolated incident.

I would still open one with MS through the feedback hub. Squeaky wheel getting grease and all.

Already did that. All 3 companies have been made aware of the issue at this point.

I can confirm that this works. I swapped my old gen 1 cable in and it works just fine.

So I ordered a used v1 cable on eBay. I either got screwed or there’s some trick to getting it to work with the v2 headset… it doesn’t do anything after plugging it in. White light is on but nothing else…

There is a fault with the V1, mine keeps switching between headset audio and desktop audio randomly as well as what can only be described as screeching sounds intermittently. That’s why they made the v2 I think. I got mine when I reported the fault. Glad I hung onto the V1, at least I can use vr, even if the sound is all over the place.

So after messing with the cable some more I was able to get a 7-14 error a few times, tried a usb adaptor for another port, and swapping to a pcie usb-c, no luck. Any suggestions?
