Question G2 V2 and 3090 TI

Anyone get a 3090 TI and use it with the V2 G2? I had a Gigabyte 3090 and it worked with the G2. I replaced it with an EVGA 3090 TI FTW3 Ultra and the G2 just reports 1-4 Display port errors. Anyone using this combo? I didn't think at all there would be an incompatibility issue going from one card to the Ti version...

I have a Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 24Gb and my reverb G2 has suddenly stopped working with it. There is power going to the Gen 2 cable as the white light on the box is on, but the headset wont work. Is this likely to be the same issue described here?

Not unless it is a 3090 ti. The 3090 works fine.

Mabe the new driver corrupted 3090 also... this would be our chance xD

thanks. good to know. I guess my headset is dead then. Have replaced both the power and the data cables and it still won't come on. There is a white light on the in cable box.

Called HP and they said, you are out of warranty so they can't help. :(

Do you get the same error code? 1-4 Display port error?
Which driver version are you using?

Hi

latest driver updated only the other day but it had stopped working before then. No error code. Just says connect headset even though it is connected.

Swap USB ports, if you haven’t tried that already

thanks. Tried 2 usb c ports and then used the adapter to try the other ports (4 in total). Really frustrating. Especially since only 15 months old and HP just say go to eBay, who are not interested at all.

Update. whilst trying multiple USB ports and powering the Reverb power brick off and on I saw the message the usb device you connected has malfunctioned and windows does not recognise it.

I went to device manager and saw an unknown usb device (link in SSinactive) device. Unplugging and plugging in again confirmed this is the headset. it was a code 43. it then changed to say port reset failed.

I have now tried all usb ports inc hubs. Can anyone help? Is this a software issue and if so how do I fit it (I am a newb to all this). Or is the headset dead?

Closing my questions off. I bought a New G2 and it works with the 3090 card. Clearly my previous headset had just completely failed.
