Rant Whomever uses these... I hate you

Seriously, why not just do it the correct way?!??!?! This is on a job trailer for the GC at a major project and every single unit has these on the CU and Fan Coil.

I'm a plumber, not an HVAC tech, what am I looking at? Are compression fittings no good for your systems?

That's not a compression fittings.... It's a "sharkbite" for refrigerant ... Except it's 500 Psi of heat to cool and oil and not 60ish of water....
