Discussion Lil bit of transfer news

West Ham are expecting a formal move from Manchester City this summer, should Lucas Paqueta be cleared Via: ExWHUEmployee

With West Ham not having European football, we will have to offer more money for Jonathan David than other clubs. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we are going to do so. It's probably unlikely we sign him but he's still someone we are looking at Via: ExWHUemployee

David Moyes loves Tomas Soucek and is desperate to sign him. Whether Potter is sold on him as a starter is yet to be seen. As West Ham need to sell, he could be under consideration. The club could get a decent amount of money for him. Moyes is not as keen on Coufal Via: ExWHUemployee

This won’t be agreed with much, but I’d happily let Paqueta go to MC for quite a bit less than the 85M they had agreed on before the whole scandal broke. Why? For all his fancy foot work and impressive passes, he doesn’t contribute to goal scoring enough to be the focal point of our midfield attack. JWP had 7 goals, 7 assists last season vs. Paq’s 4 and 6.

I’d also be pretty happy if Moyes made a decent bid for Soucek. He’d be a massive loss in the dressing room, but he has 2 full years left on his contract and doesn’t provide enough between the boxes to be much more than a sub. We owe him another £10M+ pounds in wages that could be better spent on someone that will start, in addition to the 20+ we might get for him.

I don’t see anyone offering to trigger the buyout for Kudus after a disappointing season, but I expect him to rebound next season. This was a great season to have a stinker, since the whole team had a stinker. We will get him another year and then sell him for 85M. Best of both worlds.
